Your Whataburger vs. the Whataburger she tells you not to worry about

Whataburger is synonymous with Texas for many fans, and sweet tea is one of the hallmarks of the Southern dining experience. It’s hard to imagine making the two any sweeter, or more Texan.

However, Twitter user Cody Cashell found a way to do just that, while putting a spin on a popular meme.

It’s unclear if Cashell was the one who put the “double sweet” note and Jalapeno label on the sweet tea dispenser, but the Jan. 11 tweet captured the heart of Whataburger fans and ended up on Reddit’s r/Austin subreddit.

The meme he’s riffing on is a popular one on Twitter lately. The “you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about” joke involves comparing an inferior product or person on the left (“you”) to a supposed upgrade (“the guy she tells you not to worry about”) on the right.

The tweet has generated dozens of “likes” and “retweets” so far.
