Kitty found in Texas zoo’s Komodo dragon exhibit lives to tell the tale

Dragons were no match for this little kitty that zookeepers rescued on Saturday at the Fort Worth Zoo.

The black and orange kitten had been spotted in the Komodo dragon exhibit before zookeepers saved her and handed her over to the Humane Society of North Texas for care. The cat, whose name is now Komodo, was unharmed.

According to the Dallas Morning News, zoo spokeswoman Alexis Wilson said there are feral cat populations in the park nearby but is not sure how the kitten ended up in the Komodo den.

HSNT says Komodo is now in foster care until she’s big enough for adoption.
