The Black Student Association at Texas Tech University has retracted its tweet stating “All lives don’t matter, white lives don’t matter, blue lives don’t matter, #blacklivesmatter.”
The tweet was posted just one day before the Dallas shooting last week and was taken down following the incident. The tweet can still be seen in screenshots obtained by Campus Reform and other users on Twitter.
On Wednesday, Texas Tech University made a statement rejecting the tweet as did the student group.
Texas Tech told Campus Reform that the university is dedicated to an inclusive environment for all and supports student’s right to freedom of expression.
“A recent tweet sent from a student organization account is not representative of the university or the student organization,” said Texas Tech’s office of communication.
